Magic F.A.Q. |
| |
|
Q. I have Netscape 4.5 but
Bookmark Magic cannot find my bookmarks. |
|
A.
The Netscape bookmark.htm file is not found
automatically on all computers. You will have to tell
Bookmark Magic where it is when it asks, i.e. File |
Open Html File. If you don't know where bookmark.htm is
located do a file search for it in Explorer. |
|
Q. Does
Bookmark Magic work with AOL favorites? |
|
A. No. After some investigation we've found
that the AOL favorites structure is proprietary and very
difficult to decipher. Unless some third party comes up
with a method to access AOL favorites we won't spend the
resources on this. |
|
Q. Can Bookmark Magic
combine two different IE Favorites folders or two
different Netscape bookmark files? |
|
A. Yes it can be done but it is a bit
cumbersome. To combine two Favorites folders, one folder
will have to first be converted to HTML. The HTML file
can then be converted to Favorites in the other
Favorites folder. Similarly, one of the Netscape
bookmarks files would have to first be converted to
Favorites and then the Favorites would have to be
imported into the Netscape bookmarks files. A bookmark
synchronization feature is now on the To Do list for
Bookmark Magic. |
